Dear Botsford Elementary Families & Friends,
As a former Botsford Bobcat, I would like to welcome everyone to the upcoming school year. I am moved & humbled to join the Botsford Elementary community as your new principal. As your child's principal I would like to take this moment to introduce myself as I will be leading your child throughout this school year & the many years to come. I want to begin by anticipating that all Botsford Elementary families & friends have enjoyed their summer & are all prepared to engage & get excited about what the future at Botsford Elementary has in store for everyone this school year.
I am a proud graduate of Livonia Clarenceville, class of 1996, & attended Madonna University where I received my teaching certificate in elementary education with a minor in Child Development. In addition, I earned a certification (Master's Degree) in Education Leadership from Madonna University. I have been a part of the Clarenceville community & culture for a number of years where I once began my journey at Botsford Elementary as a kindergarten student back in 1983. My educational journey within the Clarenceville School District included opportunities such as a substitute teacher, a paraprofessional within the special education department, a fourth grade teacher during the 2009-10 school year & most recently a fifth grade teacher for the past ten years.
As your new principal, it has always been my mission to encourage staff to develop educational & engaging activities that motivate students to learn & extend their thinking & to provide my students of Botsford Elementary a positive, safe, & successful school experience. In addition, I will encourage my students & staff to strive towards becoming lifelong learners, leaders & productive members of a changing world. I will continue to advance the tremendous traditions & customs established at Botsford Elementary & will build upon the foundation in developing a refusal to be average.
I am thrilled & looking forward to working with your child along with his/her family & the incredible Botsford Elementary staff this school year & am assured with your support and cooperation it will be a rewarding experience for everyone involved. As we begin this journey together, I desire your input as we move forward & throughout this school year.
